Coraline Costume in 2026: Where to Buy, and Why
Last updated June 11, 2026
Coraline draws steady Halloween demand because the look is unmistakable: the yellow vinyl raincoat, blue bob, and dragonfly clip make her obvious at a glance.
The whole costume is that one silhouette, so the only real choice is how screen-accurate you want the coat: an off-the-shelf kit that covers the look, or a handmade coat that recreates the film's star-lined hood and skeleton key.

Price
$49.99
Sizes
Adult XS–2X
Material
Officially licensed; polyester jacket, boot covers, wig, and hair accessory
Spirit covers the whole look for $49.99 — coat, boot covers, wig, and pin, in sizes to a 2X, with free shipping over $40. The cheapest complete kit.
Handmade yellow vinyl with the screen-accurate star-lined hood and patent-leather skeleton-key appliqué
Wicked & Wonder makes the screen-exact coat — the star-lined hood and skeleton-key appliqué, sizes 8–16. It includes the coat, not the wig, boots, or clip.
A closet build gets close for less: a plain yellow rain jacket, a blue bob wig, and a dragonfly pin cover the silhouette. It won't match the film's star-lined hood, but most rooms read it as Coraline anyway.

Spirit Halloween — the full review
Spirit’s adult Coraline kit ($49.99) is the whole look in one box: the yellow hooded jacket, boot covers, blue wig, and the dragonfly hair piece. It runs through a 2X, and at $49.99 it clears the free-shipping line.
The boot covers are the weak link in every mass kit, and that includes this one: they sit loosely over real shoes, so plenty of buyers skip them and wear their own yellow rain boots. The wig is a basic bob that looks sharper after a quick brush-out.
For most people, this is the Coraline costume: complete and cheap.
For the screen-exact coat, Wicked & Wonder hand-makes it in yellow vinyl with the details the mass kits skip: the blue-and-yellow star lining inside the hood and the patent-leather skeleton-key appliqué Coraline carries in the film.
It runs women’s 8–16, with custom sizing on request. Two things to know going in: it includes the coat, not the wig, boots, or dragonfly clip, and the handmade build runs about 2–3 weeks most of the year, 3–4 weeks once October hits.
Spirit kit: adult XS through 2X, true to costume sizing; the jacket layers over your own clothes.
Boot covers (any kit): loose over real shoes, so many wear their own yellow rain boots instead.
Wicked & Wonder coat: women’s 8–16; size at purchase against the shop’s measurements, since it’s non-returnable.
